I think he’s ****ing great. Last night showed why. Football is a game with a lot of moving parts and it is easy to theoretically put a good team together, PlayStation football, where every player has pre set skill sets and limits. Sport is talent of course, but also Heart, Passion, Desire all unquantifiable and factors which may be what is required to get us across the line. We saw plenty of that last night.

I hope we win the League.

And if we do no one will deserve to lift that trophy as Captain than Henderson - a guy who has to prove the doubters wrong every time he pulls the shirt on.

Too ****ing true. If anyone doubts what it means to Jordan to be captain of this great club they only need look at his reaction to scoring that goal. There is plenty of time for Virge to be captain, right now Jordan is the man.

Didn't appreciate just how good a goal it was until watching back on MOTD. I initially though Firmino just played it into the danger area and Henderson caught the defence flat footed, but he actually called where he wanted the ball and was set up beautifully by Bobby.

Was also a great ball from big Joel to start it all off too.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I've given out ****e about Henderson but he was so good in an attacking role.
His passion too. Jurgen should stick with him there.

I've never understood the **** Henderson receives and what really stuck out for me are the comments made by Klopp re: taking over the captaincy from Gerrard.

The guy has soaked up all that pressure, all that expectation, all those comparisons - and still shows what it means to wear the red shirt.

Henderson is a class act that does anything and everything for the team and the club.

I think that he slows us down too much sometimes in the holding midfield role. There are times when it is crying out for a quick ball or switch when Henderson just keeps tapping the 10 yard passes that don't really achieve anything.

I agree that in a slightly less defensive role that he might be a better fit. Remember when we went close in 2013/14? Henderson was very good that season.

Plus now that he has had 2 years or so playing defensive midfielder, then he is probably more useful in-game situations where we need to switch to a more defensive strategy.

Nobody can argue with his effort. For me, right now Gini looks a little bit cream crackered - and perhaps could do with a game or two on the bench.

                Yep, Gini looked shagged.

Another match winning goal against Chelsea will shut up the doubters, Jordan!...similar to the one ya scored a few years back in Stamford Bridge, mate!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

This is fair. Nobody can question Henderson's commitment or attitude, but I can see why some fans get frustrated with him as DM.
Whether his switch there is down to his injury problems or squad reasons, I think it's fair to say that the no.6/DM role doesn't really suit his strengths.

High energy, box to box Henderson of 2013-15 was him at his best, in his best position.
It was great seeing him get to play like that again on Friday night. He's still got the best goal celebrations too

I have often wondered if he was chosen to play the deeper role as we didnt want to sacrifice anyone else there, and maybe also to accommodate his ongoing injury issue/s?

Very rarely would we see any bursts of speed or strong tackling, but on the odd occasion he has shown glimpses of what he is capable of and then, although its great to see, its a little frustrating that its so infrequent.

Maybe now fabinho is making the deeper position his own we will now see klopp pushing henderson to go rampaging a bit more.

When fully fit, his greatest strength was pressing further up the pitch. The guy is indefatigable and has a good eye for a through ball (as witnessed for England recently).
