The way we talk we will always need to buy 11 new players a season, because we have become so unforgiving. Henderson is having a bad season and might not be a winner, but we need to look at the squad as a whole because you don't build a winning team in one season.

We need to be more solid and also more creative, so I would bring in a keeper, a centre back (done), and two midfielders (one already done).

Then I would thin the squad. Probably let the following go:

+ Bogdan and either Ward or Mignolet
+ Toure, Skrtel and Caulker
+ Enrique
+ Allen
+ Balotelli, Markovic and Benteke

plus some of the youngsters that are not going to make it.

I'd also tell a few others that they have one more year to convince us that they are heading in the right direction (if they are young) or good enough (if they hav e matured). Those players include:
Flannagan,
Lovren
Ilori
Smith
Lallana
Ibe

It looks like Henderson's been instructed to make a variety of passes, and switch the play. I think he'll be a squad player next season, because we've been linked with other players who are specialists in doing exactly what he was regularly doing.
