Thanjk you.
Paul.S
if Spurs really would offer 25 m for him I think Klopp would bite their hand off. He has been disappointing this year with poor end product.
He is not Steven Gerrard and should stop trying to be him
Bearing in mind he is supposedly one of the most skillful players at liverpool, the only evidence I see of that is the occasional reverse kick thin he does.
What he does that no other midfielder we have does, is make direct runs off the ball from deep into spaces between the opponents defenders. It's no rocket science but it's very valuable. Any replacement needs to do that or our other midfielders need to start doing it.
It's what Henderson used to do once he hit his stride in the 2013/14 season, now he doesn't but he isn't sprinting like he used to anyway presumably as his heel is either impeding him for real or in his head. Alas this means he is now passing more from somewhat deeper and while he can find a man in space its clearly not his strong suit.
ive been a staunch fan of his. I think he was badly mismanaged by Kenny and Rodgers, and now talk of this injury holding him back but four and half years now, and he's had a good 6 month spell in that time. Its not good enough, I think if he went to Spurs he'd be a success in their set up and there is no way we should sell to a rival. Its not as if we should build a set up to accommodate him though.
for me he seems to have stalled under Klopp when I thought he would be one of the players who took to his methods quicker than anyone.
I do not like his dropping back into the centre halves zone to collect the ball and didn't when Gerrard done it previously. Never see the point of this especially when we are starting to look comfortable on the ball at the back again.
He also seems to be telegraphing every thing he does nowadays whether it is shooting , passing , one - twos etc,
It seems his natural game has gone and now appears to be robotic in every thing he does. I don't know if his injury is curtailing his running and energy levels but if it is a long term thing I don't think he is good enough to be the quarterback role as his passing is not good enough.
As a few people said earlier, he is the exact type of player you want in a functioning team. You need superstars, but every player can't be one. People like Henderson are perfect foil for Coutinho and Firmino. He will work hard, move the ball with pace up the pitch so others can do damage, as well as scoring the odd goal or providing an assist.
Sometimes I feel like people want all our players to be 10/10 of every facet of the game. But football isn't about that, it's about having a role which suits your best skills and creating a well balanced team were each player clearly fills the role expected of him. Hendersons is clearly as the 3rd man in midfield. Not a deep lying midfielder who wins ball and not a 10, but the player in between who gets up and down, is able to move the ball with pace and support attacks.

Completely agree. The growing clamour to sell him is totally mystifying me. Sure he's been below his best but we know he's carrying the injury and as you say every team needs someone like him.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I don't think I've been calling for Hendo to be sold, but I'm pretty sure I've done so about other players
I do think we shouldn't make such judgements until the season is over, there is no need for it really, Henderson has been injured as has most of the squad, it's only now there seems to be any rythm to the team, if I lose my temper and call for someone to be sold I don't mean it, unless it's Mig or Skrtel
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
for me, anything above £25m and I'd be tempted to sell, providing we've identified someone who would improve upon him.
I like Henderson, but he's clearly struggling with this injury and no one seems to know if it'll will ever clear up.
He's a model pro but he's clearly not a leader/club captain material which also hampers him.
Also agree with gratziani re him telegraphing every thing he does......his shooting is woeful, poor technique either down to bottling it, not having the ability or confidence or again maybe it's the injury hampering him - most likely it's a bit of all those things.
it happened again against United last week - a ball got squared to him, edge of the box, good chance (2nd half in front of kop) and he ****ed it big time. I;m not saying you should score every time but you have to do better, you have to make the keeper work - at this level, in big games, you need your big players to make the most of those opportunities and for me he fails pretty much every single time.
I like him, I want him to do well - but I don't like him as captain, and with this injury hampering him I do feel we could get someone with better end product.
When I look at our midfielders - they're all 'decent' have good qualities but they all lack quality in the final 3rd.
Personally I feel we need two new midfielders - a strong quick tackler with decent passing and someone who can drive forward, make runs into the box, or wait on edge of box and get a shot off, and if he can take set pieces then bonus.
I'm not expecting to see much of krujic next year - but from what I've read and what little I've seen - if we could get someone like that Xhaka and Gundogan to do those roles it would improve us greatly.
that leaves Can/Milner/Lucas/Allen/Henderson/Krujic fighting it out to start/provide cover
Someone somewhere has to make way. And if there was a big offer for Henderson I wouldn't be shocked if it was him
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
