This role in the 2 in a 4231 really restricts him, we'll never see the best of him there but I thought he was better last night.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

The same applies to Coutinho as well. Both are perfect in a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 diamond, but in Klopp's preferred system of 4-2-3-1, we'll see how both kick on.

And we seem to play better as a 4231

He was better last night but unfortunately for him he will always be in Gerrard's shadow whilst wearing the armband. I thought he was going to rocket in the one cut back to him at the edge of the box and then his season would take off from there.....

I think that you are right about the armband and the Gerrard comparisons, I think every LFC fan who saw that chance thought "Gerrard puts that in". Which is unfair on Henderson, I liked him in the 2013-14 season I thought he was fantastic then, but I think he has struggled since, maybe because of the injuries, maybe because the players around him aren't as good, but I feel that he is an effective player in a well functioning team, and not a player you would look to when you need to change the game, which I think is a problem particularly as he is captain. I think we have some tough decisions to make regarding the midfield over the summer, I am not convinced that the places of any of Henderson, Milner, Allen or Lucas are safe (although I suspect Klopp sees Lucas' future at CB)
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I called Henderson as ****e before he went on to have a great season.. In fact his sending off (vs city?) was arguably the biggest factor that cost us the league that year.

I think he's a very good all round player who's finding his feet again. And certainly deserves a chance to fit unit Klopps vision.

Llallana and Milner go before Henderson for me. Better end product out there than those two.

if Spurs really would offer 25 m for him I think Klopp would bite their hand off. He has been disappointing this year with poor end product.

He is not Steven Gerrard and should stop trying to be him

Bearing in mind he is supposedly one of the most skillful players at liverpool, the only evidence I see of that is the occasional reverse kick thin he does.

                I would sell him
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

I can't see the club selling. He's not at the level he was at before, but he's still recovering from an injury that kept him out for a long time. Players look very different when playing in in-form teams and that is something we haven't seen for a while. I'm more worried about him partnering Emre without Lucas as I don't think they have a lot of synergy. I wouldn't sell him, he's a solid squad member, and also a great player when fit and in form.

The report originates from The Sun, so unless some reputable sources run a similar story, then it's bollocks.

25 million a for Jordan and the same for Benteke and then invest in on a superstar and we will be better off straight away. Gotze / Reus etc

I'm not saying that he should go, he is a very good player in a working system, at the moment I am not convinced that 1) he is fully fit after his injuries and 2) that the role he is playing (or the system we are currently playing) suits him.

If you are to take the view that everyone started a fresh when Klopp came in, then IMO Henderson and a few others still need to prove themselves. Also I think that we need to be bringing in strong players in the summer who are leaders on the pitch and if that is the case we may need to evaluate the role of captain - not a judgement on Henderson's leadership ability, but if the squad is evolving we should be continually reviewing the position and picking the most suitable candidate.

Exactly, no one should be untouchable and we should always be looking for better players. The problem we seem to have is actually getting the deals done.

What he does that no other midfielder we have does, is make direct runs off the ball from deep into spaces between the opponents defenders. It's no rocket science but it's very valuable. Any replacement needs to do that or our other midfielders need to start doing it.
