Ultimately, Klopp's preferred formation may mean that Henderson never reproduces the form of 13/14 but we need give it at least another season for me to consider selling him.

I'm not really sure what the idea on this forum is, basically to gut the squad with Mig, Skrtel, Lallana, Milner, Benteke, Sturridge and Henderson all being wished out the door.

I'd keep Henderson, him with Can and a more creative midfielder in a 3 for next season could well be interesting. I still wonder if we'll see Phil moved back next season into tht midfield 3 and someone coming in to play with Bobby F behind a striker. (Reus/Goetze)

theres no way i would sell henderson for £25 or even £30m.

we need to build a squad of top athletes and hendo is definitely one of the best english midfielders around. There are others that could go first - joe allen, lucas leiva, james milner etc... but selling henderson is a bad idea.

we need to have 6 central midfield player vying for 2/3 positions - henderson should be in that list. The lads that we all want to bring like ilkay gundogan or granit xhaka dont do what henderson do, they do their work playing next to lads like henderson.

he allows the creative players to do what they do without worrying about all organisation and hard work that goes on behind them.

        no way we sell hendo.

this is it. there are times when we will play tough away games in europe or in the league when you need an extra quality body in there. a creative passer sitting deep in front of the back four with henderson and can ahead of them pressing the ball, and stopping the opposition from launching counters in a 433.

a team like liverpool shouldnt just have 3 decent midfielders, we should have 4/5 with all the games we play and the style we play.

Everyone keeps saying that we have this dynamic midfielder in there but have not seen it this year or last year to be honest.

I feel like he has stagnated for us and his game has gone backwards, perhaps if someone else got the captaincy this might release him back to the player we thought he was a couple of year back.

I thought he looked slow and pretty knackered last night.

At one stage he got outpaced by Michael Carrick which is enough to make you consider retirement.

Strange that he played in such a state. Still I suppose he wanted to and Klopp preferred to keep Allen for the change rather than risk it being the other way round (or playing a youth instead)

You've got to admire Henderson's commitment to the cause but it clearly affected his performance, he was way off for most of it.

He kept Henderson on because of Manchester's air football style. Quotes are somewhere.

The "everywhere" is too much information. But...

..how do you know that bit?

Aye that was a shocker, easier to score from there and didn't even work the keeper. He needs to up his game a hell of a lot in that area.
