    Delph for the euros then!

While it's obviously terrible for Henderson, not sure it much of a loss for Liverpool unlike in 2013/14 when he was sorely missed - Allen, Lucas, Stewart and Chivirella are all options.

Not really. While he's been doing my head in at times it's hardly a blessing. If one of Can or Allen go down we suddenly looked ****ed in central mid, not exactly a good position to be in with potential European semi's and finals coming. Lucas seems to have had more bad games than good in midfield this season while being a beast at CB and Milner never looks completely comfortable there.

I think his biggest problem in the eyes of his detractors is he's not Stephen Gerald.

He's a really good player imo and I hope he gets himself fit and ready for next season.
Don't wish him any harm, but I've always thought he's bang average. All huff and puff, very little end product. Now he's our captain there is even more importance on him being the talisman so to speak...and its just not his game. In a side full of class he'd be a great water carrier, chasing, harassing and getting the ball back for the other to do their thing.

yeah if there are any more injuries we're ****ed, but at the same time this means allen gets his chance, as do stewart and chirivella.

also allen and can have looked like a good pairing yesterday.

Although I think there is a lack of balance in our midfield - too much perspiration and not enough inspiration. Henderson played at his best when others were more creative but he was given positional freedom.

I actually think he has been good at covering for others and giving an option this season. However he's looked to be lacking touch somehow. I think a rest might be just what he needs.

Losing him for the run in when we finished 2nd was huge.

We are indeed weaker without Henderson now. Milner and Allen in central midfield for the Stoke game.

Henderson will be here next season and hopefully injury free, he'll get back on form once again and prove the doubters wrong.

Good news that it won't require surgery. Faces up to eight weeks out.

Definitely. I think even putting aside injury woes, to get the best of him though we need to use him differently to the way we have of late. His biggest asset is his sheer energy, to constrain him positionally so much weakens him considerably. He needs to be able to press high and make runs beyond the midfield line to be effective IMO.

                        Yup, completely agree with this

He simply doesn't have the talent to play deeper. Rafa knew what to do with Gerrard who also was weak in the subtle arts of CM/DM - keep him high or wide.

Will he learn how to shoot and pass whilst out with injury?

As if he can't at all pass.
