    Only way it could be done is by buying a captain...if a big name/leader type was signed then you can kinda say to Jordan nice one mate but he's the man now, without hopefully upsetting him to much

              There is no-one else. Depressing, as for me Henderson is not captain material, but who of the current squad is an obvious choice? Sakho or Lucas if pushed, but not really. Emre Can in a few years if he develops? Lallana?!

                Will a captain matter much to Klopp? I thought it was more of an outdated British thing and not particularly important on the continent. Not really basing that on anything though, so I could be wrong.
                If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

                  The captain doesnt have to be the best player in the team which hendo isnt. I dont have a problem keeping him on as captain. I still think he will start the season in centre midfield for us. Emre can wont be back early so I think hendo will have a big chance to impress.

                  It also wouldn't surprise me if hendo cut short his holiday as hes been out injured for a very long time and he could do with a full preaseason.

                    That is true, he could tell Klopp that a full pre-season for him would be of benefit for himself & Liverpool.
                    Would think Klopp will keep him as his captain but give someone else the vice captaincy...maybe Lovren who will be on the pitch more than Milner.

                      Hopefully Hendo can get a full preseason in under Klopp as he's not been fully fit since Klopp arrived, you'd think that the high press style of football we look to

                          I hope Jordan is fully fit for next season and we can see what he is capable of under Klopp. At the minute he has to regarded as one of the midfielders under threat.

                                As a couple of people have said being the captain doesn't seem to be as much of a big thing in German football as it does in England, hopefully Klopp can bring that type of mentality into the club if he hasn't already - we had 10 different players captain the side last season.

                                Ok we have had only one club captain, but we have replaced one club captain with another - Sami Hyypia was 'stripped' of the captaincy in order to make Gerrard captain and that didn't cause any problems the players involved just need to be mature about it.
                                The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
