His confidence looks shot and he doesn't look right physically. Playing it far too safe.

I think he needs some time out of the 1st team to be honest.

Seen some stats yesterday where LFC's win ratio is 68% without Henderson & 34% with him!...That's staggering & indicting of the captain when a team plays better without you!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

The centrehalves dont bring the ball out often enough though

Matip is one of the few that carries the ball far enough to draw players on

Lovren goes about 20 yards then just ****s the same hopeful ball into the channel

I think at this stage the fact he's the captain is a hindrance for him. It puts him under so much more pressure, which is the last thing he needs right now.

Henderson had more touches of the ball than the entire Everton team. He's not hiding in games but is clearly missing something. I like him, but it's hard not to agree with some things mentioned on here

his touches were hardly having any influence on the match though...
meaningless touches like the odd cuddle in a long dead relationship

Didn’t see the match but we bring Hendo & Lovren back & we struggle. Anyone going to say it’s a coincidence?

I think maybe Coutinho and Firmino might have had a little thing to do with it.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Don't think we 'struggled'. We dominated and deserved to win.
                        Another MASSIVE game

They let us have the ball but we created very little.

We didnt create loads of clear cut chances but we got in some great positions only for the final ball / pass to let us down or poor shooting

That final ball that was lacking quality came from players other than Henderson

                              It's sad to see

Going back to when he was in top form...before he started missing large chunks with this foot issue....his biggest asset/influence on the game was always his engine/stamina and a bit of sharpness....he's never had Gerrard influence/goals or xabi passing, mascherano tackling or hamann positioning but he was a decent all rounder with a hell of a work rate

To me it looks clear that since his injuries it's took something away from him and he's lost that main attribute he brought to the team

What's left is a decent enough player but he now doesn't really influence the game that much...he doesn't look like a goal threat, he doesn't cover **** loads of ground and gets tackles in and the big thing, he really doesn't lead the team

As a result his confidence looks shot. He doesn't move the ball anywhere near quick enough and he looks a bit lost

And in our set up/midfield of three we really can't afford any passengers

He's still a decent player and if he get some form and confidence back would be a good squad player but I'm defo in the camp of give the captains armband to someone else

Assuming we sell coutinho and can goes then moving forward if want something like Ideal scenario would be a fit/starting midfield three of goretzka/keita/lallana with back up/competition from henderson/wijnaldum/milner

That, a couple of centrebacks and a top keeper and we'd be getting there
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I think this is only partially true. Our play was generally very slow and laboured compared to the last few weeks. Even when we drew them out a bit, by the time we got near their back line they had been able to get their ships in order, leaving us little space, or often just the option of lobbing a cross in and hoping for the best. I think a lot of that is Henderson.
