It couldn't be more obvious and it's painful. It's a two way street, as always - the players, team, need to give the fans something but the fans need to give the players something too and all the ****ing moaning doesn't do anyone any good. You can see in Henderson's post match interviews lately - he looks clinically depressed ffs. Having a tough time.Originally posted by Liverpool View Postthe groans in the ground tonight for him was pretty grim, every misplaced pass, turning the wrong way/wrong decision. Very loud, doesnt normally affect him, but a few times he looked to start a dangerous attack, and played the simple pass instead to stop the groans if it went wrong. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He was passing sideways and turning the wrong way a while before the groans started but it isn't enjoyable to be apart of is it? He just isn't of the calibre required I'm afraid, he's a good hard working pro but we need more quality in there IMO.Originally posted by Liverpool View Postthe groans in the ground tonight for him was pretty grim, every misplaced pass, turning the wrong way/wrong decision. To me, his worst crime is getting the ball and giving immediately back to the player he asked for it from. Meaning they're in the same position but being closed down, it invited pressure and he does it 20 time a game. Even to Mignolet! It's completely needless and the cynic in me thinks it to look like he's taking responsibility demanding the ball...
That period in the 1st half that lead to Chelsea pressure was down to him and Milner going right off the boil, sloppy passes, being walking past in midfield and failing to put their foot on the ball.Vive la France

i've no problem with natural groans, for something ridiculously **** or something being frustratingly close to brillant go a miss. But reserving them for an individual is bang out of order, Coutinho can make loads of ****s ups and no noise, yet Henderson does the slightest thing and there's an outpour.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostIt couldn't be more obvious and it's painful. Its obvious hes very sensitive to peoples opinions of him, and wants to loved and would flourish from it, but he gets abuse, helps no one.
I think the weight of captaincy and this position is taking its toll on him, and being the successor to Gerrard has never helped with its comparisons.

None of that really sounds like captain material though does it?Originally posted by Liverpool View Posti've no problem with natural groans, for something ridiculously **** or something being frustratingly close to brillant go a miss. what is a captain though?Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostNone of that really sounds like captain material though does it?
Gerrard had Carragher to back him and do a lot of his dirty work.
Gerrard needed to feel the love from managers, although the cold shoulder motivated him from Rafa.
We had a lot of leaders around then, Rodgers went about removing personalities from the club to strengthen his own position, and we haven't replenished with them since, and we lack game intelligence.
Its frustrating as ****, but getting on the lads back is the not answer

I think freeing him this deep position would help, his most effective further forward, closing down and getting decent balls in from 30/40 yards, he's too deep and i've never rated his tackling/defensive abilityOriginally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostHe was passing sideways and turning the wrong way a while before the groans started but it isn't enjoyable to be apart of is it? Spot on mate, that's exactly what he does. Agree he'd be better served further up the field. Tbh he'll probably lose his position next year to Keita and will be ****ed off I imagine.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

easier to chase down lost causes and catching defenders off guard, than dealing with attacking mids/strikers. Doesn't have to worry about his position and can gallivant around freely, much more of craft to intercept from deep.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostYep. It's mad how he can't win balls deep (balls deep, lol) yet get him pressing in the attacking third and he wins loads of balls and can drive forward. Much better in that role.
