The biggest difference for me on Tuesday was we took our chances. When we get that early goal, we tend to blow teams away, regardless of who is on the pitch. Can didn't influence the game much on Tuesday, so there is no way swapping him with Henderson would have made that much difference. Hoffenheim and Arsenal were two of our most impressive performances this year and Henderson played his part in both of those.

it’s no secret mate that I believe that if we are to succeed we need better than Jordan. I will agree that he’s not a defensive midfielder & is being asked to play out of position but as a captain I find him lacking in leadership skills. Uninspiring & a shade of beige is how I see him.

I just think its weird that before the dust has settled on a good performance from the team, some manage to turn that into a stick to beat a player who wasn’t playing - it’s a bit odd.

It’s obvious what we’ve been missing - not being clinical in front of goal coupled with basic defending. Controlling games hasn’t been the issue.

Hardly surprising though. Can't moan about Firmino, Lovren or Moreno as they all played well, so only natural they move on to somebody who didn't play.

FFS check my history mate. I don’t moan about any of the players that you’ve mentioned in fact I defend all of the easy targets regularly. You might like to believe it was a coincidence that we played so well, so direct, with good leadership without him but I’ve not seen enough from him as a captain to want him in the side & I firmly believe we need better if we are to succeed.
