I think we saw last season as well as this, that the 3 of Gini - Henderson - Can, while in certain games can work well, in general is nowhere near as good as when you switch one of them out for Lallana. Away from home it should clearly be Gini dropped, but when he is back fit it will be interesting to see who Klopp does leave out at home.

I think part of the issue is combining them with Firmino and Coutinho in the front three.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostI think we saw last season as well as this, that the 3 of Gini - Henderson - Can, while in certain games can work well, in general is nowhere near as good as when you switch one of them out for Lallana. That and the fact that they haven't yet 'clicked' in terms of knowing when they can burst into attack. All three are capable of doing it and during the season we finished second Henderson seemed to judge it very well. This is compounded by the fact we seem to press less this season which means they tend to start deeper. We need to get the balance better in that area - against more progressive teams than United we are now inviting too much pressure against our CBs as well as playing deeper.
I think this is an area where Chamberlain gives us interesting options - both in midfield and attack."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

The quality of striker making the quality of attacking runs that suarez did in our second place season makes a big difference. We don't have a striker with anywhere near the same ability (not many do to be fair) and we don't have the same burst through the middle that Gerrard gave us. We are making chances for crosses and completing a lot of passes around the box and we need a striker, Firmino isn't one.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Doesn't stop him from being ****e at it when he does.Originally posted by Fredo View PostHe doesn't have to pass forward because as a defensive midfielder, all he has to do is break up play and keep the ball, not try the hollywood pass to please people. A coincidence maybe that we drop him & have our best performance?Originally posted by rudedog View PostFrom your recent postings it’s clear your not a fan of Jordan but it’s a bit odd that after a much needed moral boosting win, this is what you chose to post.

Or that without him we made them look like a league 1 side? I’d like us to play spurs without him this weekend to test the theory either wayOriginally posted by Kenneth View PostMaybe, but it might also be that we were playing a side that would struggle in league 1.

The biggest difference for me on Tuesday was we took our chances. When we get that early goal, we tend to blow teams away, regardless of who is on the pitch. Can didn't influence the game much on Tuesday, so there is no way swapping him with Henderson would have made that much difference. Hoffenheim and Arsenal were two of our most impressive performances this year and Henderson played his part in both of those. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
