Thanjk you.

He is not a bad player, not even close to being poor, bad or anything like that.
He does however seem most comfortable when let play in a box to box type role rather than a more tactically defined deeper role, and the problem for him next summer is that we have a much better box to box midfielder on the way.

Well he's hardly a bad player or one not worthy of a regular place in midfield. When he plays as a 6 he is told to be safe in possession.
I disagree that he's a guaranteed starter when everyone's fit.
I'd have Can holding with Lallana , Coutinho , Hendo & Gini fighting for the other 2 spots if we're playing a 433.
And when he's the No 6 I don't think he's necessarily safe in possession. I think he puts others under pressure at times & he misplaces quite a few passes. I'm not his biggest fan that's for sure.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

IMO, he is the one midfield player we can upgrade, a midfield of Keita, Can and Coutinho or Keita, Can and Lallana, is much better without him. I hope we get Can tied down, otherwise we need another tall CM who can play the holding role. Keita has everything but height.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Agree. As Norbs pointed out, we don't know how Keita will adapt but we are assuming we'll get something similar to the form he showed last season & that may take a while until we see that. But I think he has a much higher ceiling than Hendo.

Keita is totally unproven. It hilarious that he's included like he's been here doing it for years
Well we will get the chance to see him prove it, but based on how he performed on a consistent basis in a tough league last season and how he as started this one, he looks a player that is a far better all round midfielder than any of our current choices

The dm position is hard to define . Some saw Alonso performing that role, but it wasnt until Mascherano filled that role that Alonso could work his magic a but further forward.
Hamman is still the best player I have seen play that position, and he started as a more attacking player at Newcastle. And I do see a bit of Hamman in Henderson.
But then I have been moaning abiut not replacing Mascherano ever since.
I think its clear Henderson is not ready for thar role yet. Maybe his reading of the game is just not good enough.
Agaun, I think Can is alsi better further forward, and doez Keita really have the discipline to sit there considering his offensive potential?
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Think we deffo need one with our attacking talent, a player who sniffs out the danger , Masher was my favourite at it.
