Thanjk you.

The PR machine has definitely kicked in over the past few days since the cup loss. I think they are pushing agreeing the Henderson deal forward and leaking stories of signings to stop the rumblings.
Occurred to me as well.

I don't know why people are saying "Not worth the money". It depends on how you value the money in the first place.
With the billions being pumped into the Premier League, money is being devalued so £100,000 is not worth as much in the game as it was even 2 years ago.

He will improve IMO so that 100 grand pw could turn out to be a very good deal, nobody is worth that money but I suppose it is what it is.
His production has improved every year since being at LFC & this season his passing is noticeably better. ....his shooting could improve though. I'd hazard a guess that is we had of had Lucas behind/beside him all season & quality options up top... that production levels could have easily doubled.
Let's hope he grows into a top class footballer & it will be money well spent.
Financially prudent but it's also a bit **** for an employer to hold out an agreement to save some cash.
I read somewhere, think it was Tony Barrett, that when a new deal is signed the wage hike is usually backdated to the point at which negotiations started.
I wouldn't even pay these lads a grand a week, no footballer in the world is worth the ridiculous amounts they get paid.

OK, makes sense So Raheem could have big fat check coming in if he signs.

Yes, that's more than enough for what they do and is a decent enough wage to get by for the year so yes.

And to add to that. I'd play for any club for free if I was good enough.

Hendo.. just like the Team .. just like Rodgers .. was being lauded universally not so long ago ... suddenly the team get beat by United & Arsenal and lose a one off cup tie and everything is being called into Question ... Hendo is class .. his stats speak for themselves .. he plays .. gerrard does not .. we tend to win ... all that was missing from his game was goals .. hes added them .. and assists and grit ... he is a class player and show me another English central mid field 24 year old with his wealth of experience ... I am over the moon hes signed ... great business all round ... we now need to sign up Sterling ... although with potentially the club captain on 100k ... I cant see how Sterling will be able to negotiate a deal much bigger than that ...
Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015 #****CITY
You would for like a week, and then see everyone around you earning mega money and slowly start to resent it.
Footballers get paid in a different world to you as me. Just one of those things. They earn the club money, so the club rewards them for that.
I'd be happy in the knowledge that a fair proportion of the massive amounts of money football generates was going to those responsible for playing the game... If they weren't all such cunts.
Generalisation maybe but our highest profile footballers seem to really suck as human beings.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
