Yep completely agree, not saying right wing back in this 343 is his best position but wherever he's asked to play he gives 100% and rarely drops below a 7/10.
His pass into Coutinho for the 1st goal as well.

FWIW I'd like to see Can and Hendo in the 2 centre mid roles, more mobile and physical and both capable of driving from midfield which neither Gerrard and Lucas can do anymore
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Didn't realise it was two assists for him last night. I sort of overlooked his involvement in the first as I was watching Sakho and Moreno. Should have been 3 too after that lovely ball to Raheem that hit the post.

Good to see, especially as he was getting a bit of criticism while playing in an unsuited position. Curious to see how Rodgers manages the Gerrard situation, but my guess is he'll give Lucas a rest for Leicester.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He consistently seems to play better when Gerrard's not playing

Has more assist's than Di Maria and Lallana has more goals than Di Maria.

And he doesn't look like a rat, unlike Di Maria

That pass/cross for Sterling was magnificent. He's still so underrated IMO. Sure he's not had a great season but it cannot help that he is shunted all over the park at times, used almost as a utility player. Get him in the middle of the park and he's a really good and improving player.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'm starting to think that too. He was very good last season though, so hopefully he can get back to those levels. There are flashes like that cross for the Sterling chance against Swansea but overall he just hasn't looked technically up to it. He's regressed to a meat and potatoes English footballer who runs around a lot. For all his running and fitness though he's not actually that athletic in the sense that it takes him and age to turn round, at times when he's on the ball it's like watching a barge.

I dunno, I had assumed he'd kick on again from last season and start to become a really fantastic player but instead the opposite has happened. In a way he has been symptomatic of the whole side's malaise, but that also gives me hope that as the team gets better so will he, however, there is a nagging doubt about whether long term he is the answer because I'm sure there are technically better players out there who can play his role that will become available in the future. In the meantime it's up to him to prove his worth in the team, right now though it's arguable whether his form warrants selection.

For me Henderson is a great instinctive player and he's brilliant technically. You can fire a ball at him from any angle and 99% of the time he controls it immediately and looks to lay it off. He's a great counter attacking player thanks to his speed of thought and iron like lungs.

End of last season I said he needed to add goals & assists to his game to kick on. Same still apples but there's no doubt he suits the Rodgers way of playing perfectly. When we are not pressing and also unable to counter, I agree he looks very limited. I compare him to Coutinho in a way in that they need a certain way of playing to show off their ability. Phil needs runners in behind to stretch play, Hendo needs to be able to stretch his legs and hit sharp passes.
                    Forwards.......

He's been poor this season alright but to be fair to him, he's either had to sit deep protecting the back four... which is not his position or he's played wingback and spent most of his time defending....which is also not his position.

Stick him in the middle of the park with Lucas behind and we'll see the best of him IMO & hopefully he can add to his production.

Dan, why do you always say the word 'Alright' in every sentence? Do you realise you're doing it?

In the league or all comps? Surely DiMaria has more?

Definitely not league, think it 6&3 to 5&2 in DiMaria's favour.

But 5&2 for a DM / RWB is pretty good.
