Could see when he was playing for England a year ago he was terrified to make a mistake and kept playing the safe pass, like he did at the start for us.

His confidence is sky high now and rightly so, and it is showing in his England games. He is willing to have a go and take the game by the scruff of the neck and force the issue. The fact that no one is questioning his place is the biggest compliment you can pay him, considering where he was 12-18 months ago.

He has improved significantly last season but I hope he goes further.

He has all the tools - hardworking mentality, touch, pace, shot, occasionally incisive passing, stamina, play the pressing game intelligently - to become one of the recognized midfielders in Europe. I hope he realizes his potential in the next two years.

I've been a big critic about his mentality & him not doing enough in games. Big improvement last season, hopefully he can improve certain areas of his game & progress into a top player.
