Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

        Amazing for him and us.

He will be looking at 14 seasons at the club if he gets to the end of that. Great stuff.

Happy he’s sticking around - makes you wonder about the Gini situation though. 4 year contract (and supposed pay rise) for a 31 year old injury prone player that had 2 years left vs not giving Gini a 4 year contract when he was always available and in Klopp’s first 11

Makes you wonder if Gini really wanted to stay, or makes you wonder about the club’s decision making?

Love Hendo, but a 4 year contract for 31 year old with increasing injury issues? In a window where we keep hearing that the wage bill is crippled by players that rarely play but are on big wages. Think this could be one of contracts that could become a millstone around the club’s neck in the next couple of years.

All his talk after he left didn’t help either - I hope Hendo retires from England and focuses on club football and keeping fit

It's essentially a 2 year extension. No doubt with a decent bump in wages to bring him into line with the bigger earners in the squad.

I'd be asking him to retire from International football if he wanted to stay.

Would have thought his performance against Chelsea would have brought a bit of reality to the situation. Looked completely ineffective - even against 10 men. He's not a play - maker, doesn't score goals, is not a destructive defensive player. Totally overrated.

Yet there he is in your backup wank bank. Whichever trophy he's lifting.

This post has appeared so many times over the years

Klopp, a guy who knows a thing or two about football and delivering trophies seems to rate him very highly. Stepping in to ensure Hendo signed a new deal.
