That's wonderful. I love him. Amazing to see those glowing tributes.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

The fact that our signings integrate instantly and seem to all operate at above expected levels is down to Klopp obviously, but in no small part down to the example and attitude of the leadership group of players. And it seems that Henderson is a phenomenal leader and example. Setting that tone and professionalism is so important. Also the humility is amazing in an industry awash with ego.

Based on that, he'll not be losing the captaincy any time soon

I might be wrong but we don't seem to have any knobheads in the group?!

Yeah, seems that personality profiling is also a huge part of our signing process. That’s why I think Rabiot won’t happen. Seems like he has caused unrest with his actions at PSG.

I’d hate it if we had a Sanchez, Neymar or Pogba type in the ranks.

I was critical of him, I'd apologize if I could but he's clearly the club captain and I think he he answered the challenge from Fabinho signing outstandingly by moving a bit further forward. Fabinho is a better defensive player than he is, but Henderson is so important for the team. Also shows what a bloke Milner is, he wanted Hendo to have the moment, some would have said yes in a heartbeat.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I was critical too....all that side ways passing. But fair ****s to him and Klopp.
                    Really turned it around.

So we can thank Roy Keane for our Captain?

What an incredible attitude. I doubt there is a single other player who would be so humble in such a moment of personal triumph.

Jordan Henderson has revealed how Jürgen Klopp and James Milner both turned down his selfless invite to share the lifting of the Champions League trophy in Madrid.

After Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur on June 1 at Estadio Metropolitano, the captain wanted to share the crowning moment with two essential members of the Reds' charge to glory.

Instead, the manager and vice-captain let Henderson take centre stage as he became the fifth skipper in the club's history to raise the European Cup aloft.

“That night was not about me lifting the trophy,” the 29-year-old reflects. “I felt me, Millie and the gaffer should have lifted it together.

“The photo would have meant the same if the manager was lifting the trophy and I was stood behind him. It was more about the team. When I look back and see the faces of the lads, that’s what means more to me.”

He continued: "I asked Millie and the gaffer because I felt as though Millie is a big part of the squad.

“I know I wear the armband when I play but he wore it a lot as well when I haven't been playing.

“He is a big part of the dressing room. He is the most experienced player and won a lot of trophies. I feel as though without him it would have been different.

“And what we did that night wouldn't have been possible without the manager, and I felt as though he deserved to do that. But he said no.”

Guy is a legend and yet will still end his days with some fans doubting his career and credentials to be Gerrard's successor.

Can you imagine Harry Kane or Pogba thinking the same; we are fortunate to have him as skipper
