Not if we're playing the new system and sign a LCB he won't be.

I don't think anyone here is surprised by that

It will be interesting to see what happens to the leadership group now as things were VVD was next in line after Henderson and Milner, but that was as voted by the players obviously we have some new players so if there is another vote that may change completely. VVD and TAA are the names being mentioned most, for me VVD's leadership seems to have deminished somewhat as his form has dipped he looked more of a leader when before his injury, he seems quieter now. I don't think Trent is suited either at least at the moment, maybe he will grow into it in time. For me the two contenders are probably Alisson and Robertson, they are the two I would most want representing me if I were in the team. Problem with Alisson is he is a GK and I'm not keen on GK as captain, so that means I agree with Buzzo.

He's too ****ing casual to be captain. Unless the added responsibility lifts his game. He was way off his best last season for club and country. Can he get back to his best?

But then we dont see what they are like off the pitch, which may have some bearing.

I think losing Hendo might force us to buy u21 or English.

I have the feeling that, in the dressing room etc, VVD is seen as royalty but not as a leader/motivator of players.

Robbo won’t be a starter either if we get Colwill

Robbo is unlikely to be a starter for much longer if we sign an LCB and continue with hybrid formation.

    Virgil is the obvious candidate.

Neither Henderson or VVD or TAA should be skipper.

Robbo all day long; if not him then Ali.

    Job done

I think it’s safe to say that if he’d just said no then all of this would be playing out differently.

I don't really do twitter for transfers but is that Romano full of ****. He seems to be the one pushing that the contract between player and club is agreed.

Blatant tapping up by Stevie G!
