Nah, that's not fair. Hendo is rarely fawned upon here but he's captained us to umpteen trophies now and has never put a foot wrong off the pitch. Doesn't deserve to be singled out for any criticism tonight

He had a good game, but so did a lot of our players, and some of them were a lot better - I don't really see the need to single out Henderson for special praise when others had a lot more impact on the defensive and attacking sides of the the game.

Luckily Kovačić was clearly not 100% and Kante just returned from injury when he was subbed on, otherwise it could have been a much more difficult game.

Also noticed Henderson went over to console Mason Mount almost immediately after the Tsimikas scored, class from the captain, looking out for his international teammate.

It's almost like he's a good fella and a great pro.

I dont think that is his best position at all. I dont think he is as suited to a DM role. He is further forward.

That said, he did a good job yesterday, when the team was running on fumes.

Yeah I agree with that too. My beef with him in the past was when he was the deepest of the three in midfield as I saw too many smart footballers go around him easily, but he filled the role when he was asked to. He’s better on the right of the three most certainly.
