I'm not overly interested in F1 so it's mostly passed me by but what's the issue with Hamilton?

Strangely this year the 3 favourites are all bellends: Hamilton, O'Sullivan, Fury.

Sure some will disagree as they worship them on a sporting level (Ronnie is one of my all time sporting heros for example), but on a personal level there's loads to dislike with all 3.

Therefore Hendo is the moral choice

I don't follow, F1, snooker, or boxing, I can see why Hamilton is in there, but have O'Sullivan or Fury really done that much this year to deserve this? I don't really understand why those two are 2nd / 3rd favourites.

If we're being objective what has Henderson done to deserve the nod? He wasn't the best player on our team last season.

As mentioned previously i think the entire spectacle of SPOTY is a pile of ****e. There's going to be a fair few disappointed on here when Hamilton walks it

If we're being objective what has Henderson done to deserve the nod? He wasn't the best player on our team last season.

As mentioned previously i think the entire spectacle of SPOTY is a pile of ****e. There's going to be a fair few disappointed on here when Hamilton walks it

But by that every year there is a British snooker/boxing/whatever world champion they should be nominated...

Henderson has led one of the most dominant lead title challenges in a long time in difficult circumstances (OK I may be biased) but it isn't something that happens that often.

I agree that the award is largely a nonsense it's supposed to be what has happened this year, but if this weren't Hamilton's record equalling championship win would he have been nominated? If O'Sullivan were just winning his 2nd championship would he be nominated? Giggs didn't win based on his performances or achievements that particular year etc...

Every Red will vote for Hendo - but I wonder if all the other footy fans will vote for Hamilton to make sure Hendo doesn't win? Once you engage footy fans things can go a bit mental..

With regards to Fury's achievements I'd suggest he's head and shoulders above everyone else on the list however this probably isn't the thread for that. More than happy to take it to the boxing thread.
