Gerrard's a better player than Jordan at the moment and I don't think he'll ever reach the same level but Gerrard has never been a box to box player which I think Jordan is. Henderson is stronger, quicker and more direct. It's not a slant on Gerrard

Come on mate, you being serious? In the Gerrard vs Lampard debate, those pro Gerrard have always argued he's a box to box midfielder wheras fatty Lampard isn't - Gerrard does a lot more. There is not many box to box midfielders but Gerrard is one of them and IMO, he is by far and away the best there has ever been.

Very good goal as said. Hendersson is really a good player, that just have a hard time finding his position because he can do a bit of it all. Really happy we have him in the team, good buy.

Can't see hendo being better than Stevie but can still see him become a top player as long as hes not seen as a balancing player for the likes of coutinho etc...

he should be starting every week and for now at least the Henderson vs Allen debate is over but allen still has a lot to offer.

His energy and stamina are remarkable - he is easily the best signing of "that bunch" and he seems to be a great pro and a good kid. Laughable that the likes of Barkley and Townsend got in that latest England squad ahead of him. He's growing into a class player.

Must be the fittest player at the club. As Gerrard wanes we need Henderson's energy in the side more than ever.

What was nice to see last night was he got stuck in, ok the opposition was ****e, but he launched into the odd tackle which is part of his game he needed to improve upon.

He's one of my favourite players and deserves a starting spot.

I'll say it again, but I have always liked Henderson. It's been obvious to me that there's a very good player there. I think he'll end up as a bit of a jack of all midfield trades, but that is no bad thing. We need versatility.

At the time I wasn't sure why we'd signed him or where he'd fit in.

Had a tough first season but he's really developing into a very good player. I don't think his ability has ever been in doubt, but he's now gaining confidence to match that ability.

He's got a good future ahead.

Gerrard was a box-to-box midfielder. He isn't anymore, certainly not in the mould of the player he was in his youth.

He played that role under Houllier more than under any other manager - and resurrected it under the Owl.

Henderson has one of the best engines I've ever seen - still charging around in the 90th minute. Obviously he doesn't have the talent of Stevie, but then who does?
