What does a 'box to box' midfielder supposed to mean? Is it an expression like 'fox in a box' to describe natural poachers?
    Are we winning?

Box to box, as in get forward and track back? Surely that is clear enough from the description?
      Football without Origi is nothing

I'd say it means a midfielder that quickly supports attacks and also quickly gets back and helps out in defence. A player that's naturally very fit and fast and can last the whole game playing at a high tempo.

I think it is a bit of a dying art and probably a very British thing.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

You would have thought it was fairly obvious.

Once you explain to Nigey what "the box" is the penny might drop.

                I fear you're overestimating him.

Yes, it's almost impossible not to overestimate him.

He played that role under Houllier more than under any other manager - and resurrected it under the Owl.

Henderson has one of the best engines I've ever seen - still charging around in the 90th minute. Obviously he doesn't have the talent of Stevie, but then who does?

I think Stevie can do most things better than most players, he's excellent in attack and not a bad defender. I think he was at his best as an attacking midfielder at which time he didn't defend very much. He was at his most lethal when he conserved himself, stroke, concentrated on attacking. Henderson is a more mobile player and gets in the box more quickly than Gerrard could, possibly because he's had to as he doesn't possess the long range finish the Gerrard has. If he gets the opportunity this season then he'll be our highest scoring midfielder.

                            You'll all see

You mention ANYBODY in the same breath as Gerrard and they are going to be lacking in some way. In all my time watching football I've never seen a more complete player. That said Henderson more than deserves the credit he's starting to earn and the development of people in the current squad is going to be just as important as getting new blood.
