That surprised me to read and then upon checking it seems that Jota is our player with the next highest amount of appearances with 48 run outs, which also surprised me.
Alisson is our player with the most starts (47) with VVD in second place (46) Henderson has 39 starts and Jota has 35
Hendo's minutes are being managed well. He's often just subbed on to help see a game out.

He didn't drop any clangers but I wouldn't call it a 'superb' performance. What exactly was superb about it? He was the defensive midfielder yet Chelsea had plenty of good chances to put the ball in the back of the net after slicing through the midfield. Luckily they put their chances wide, and we have the keeper to thank for keeping the rest out.

I don’t remember him putting a foot wrong today. He retained possession, he won possession, he won his duals. I don’t remember them getting a chance off the back of anything he did wrong.
I’ve been down on him in his performances against the likes of Chelsea and City earlier this season but I thought he was very good today.

He had a good game, but so did a lot of our players, and some of them were a lot better - I don't really see the need to single out Henderson for special praise when others had a lot more impact on the defensive and attacking sides of the the game.
Luckily Kovačić was clearly not 100% and Kante just returned from injury when he was subbed on, otherwise it could have been a much more difficult game.

Jesus, sorry mate. Should I delete it?
I thought he deserved praise today and he’s a player I’ve been critical of this season, so only fair to give credit when it’s due too.
