Personally I'm amazed he managed to end up at the same beach as his wife given his positional awareness.

Can't believe how quick we turn against our own players.
Quite a few of us have thought he's been **** for many years now. Personally i was gutted when we knocked back the bid from City for him.

"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

Some have been calling out his lack of positional awareness as our main defensive problem for a good 18 months. It was actually Kolo that showed him up, 1 game he refused to run after him like a headless chicken and suddenly looked a worldy again whilst Skrtl looked ****e.
And it's frustrating because other players were getting the blame and called all sorts for **** up's he's caused.
I don't think it was the criticism of his playing talents that was being questioned. More the tone of the glee. Usually there is some respect for players who have been part of the club and respected it, the tone of some of the posts here you would think he had done a Diouf.

He has been a great servant for the club and I wish him all the best. He had some serious flaws but he always have 100%, he can leave with his head held high as far as I am concerned. Some disastrous moments but I prefer to think of the great moments such as his vital goal v City.

Well said, Tee.
Glad he's gone but he's always given his best. Good luck to him.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
