Amazing how there's threads about Ibe who has just turned 20 being ****.
He's a baby in footballing terms, he is guaranteed to be inconsistent, probably until he's about 23-24.

Modern society, no-one has any patience, everyone has to be world class within 15 games.

Our league season is as good as over, 8 points (effectively 9 given GD) behind Spurs in 4th and 4 other teams between us and them, if we think that Ibe has a future with us we should give him regular games between now and the end of the season to have a chance to develop.

Even if we can't achieve our goals the season isn't over. We need to mould a consistent team and style as a platform for next season, but also every position makes a financial difference and the Europa league is an important competition for us to compete in IMO (obviously, we also have the cups but that's clearly not what you are referring to).

My instinct too is that Ibe needs games. However, I'm not sure that coming in to a demotivated or unstructured team is a good thing for a young player. Hopefully we keep fighting to the end of the season even if our final position is unimpressive (as it almost certainly will be).

I'm not sure singing along with your barber really says anything about your attitude to your work. I don't think he's got anything beyond pace, so I don't rate him either but I don't think we'e going to get anyone recruiting anyone based on how serious or uptight they are outside of training or the football pitch. This isn't Sparta. They're not auditioning to marry your daughter.

He probably needed that full season at Derby to be honest. I can't recall the circumstances in which he was recalled, but it was probably decided we probably needed that spark because of how the season was going, and our options.

A year ago he was just returning from loan. I think he is beng exposed to the first XI more than he would be due to injuries, but he needs to keep working hard and improving, he's certainly not the finished article yet, and you hope he realises this
