I agree in part, but the signings he identified by all accounts were Lovren and Lallana and they weren't exactly going to be the difference in the CL. But I hate having a manager and not back him, it's counterproductive.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostI think that stacks up more in his favour. He clearly stated he wanted a couple of stars and we didn't get them. We got potential. This guy wants what we want but he's having the work with one hand behind his back. IMO.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

It could well be that, but then he could make a statement by simply not agreeing to any purchase that doesn't meet this requirement unless absolutely necessary.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostI think that stacks up more in his favour. of course he would take it.
I think it would be great to see Pako return. Graham Hunter was on the radio this morning talking about him and it sounded like he thought that Pako would take the role if offered - which contradicts the story in the Echo stating that he wanted a #1 position somewhere.
I wonder would Brendan take it?? I suspect he wouldn't have much choice but I wonder would he welcome it anyway given how Pako fell out with Rafa in a big way. There seems to be no love lost from Brendan when talking about Benitez.
For me, the club need to appoint the backroom team sooner rather than later. I wonder would a Pako / Hyypia backroom team be good for Brendan..........

MrBoywunder @MrBoywunder
Mark Ogden, Telegraph - Liverpool will consider Rene Meulensteen and Pako Ayestaran as potential assistants to Brendan Rodgers.MrBoywunder @MrBoywunder
Mark Ogden, Telegraph - Ayestaran is understood to be keen. Meulensteen would prove controversial as he criticised Rodgers last November. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
