What are you getting your knickers in a twist about? Not one person has even implied he doesn't deserve a holiday. We had an end of season manager review, a few first team coaches sacked, signed a few players etc but during the last week not a peep has been heard from the manager in public which seems a little strange. If he is on holidays, cool.

We need miles more than Henderson & Milner

We need an absolute dedicated holding player, their energy will help but I dont see them improving things dramatically without strengthening in midfield

For me there is tons wrong with us, one signing doesnt make us ****ing great

We dont defend well as a unit

Midfield doesnt protect enough

We dont press enough or compete for 2nd balls (Milner might help this one)

We dont create a huge amount of chances

We dont score a large percentage of the small number of chances we do create

what interested me was the comments from Steven Gerrard concerning why the two coaches got sacked.

THis for me was clearly questioning the decision to fire the two guys, even though he felt the players were to blame.

I personally beleive that one cannot underestimate these sorts of comments. It was a subtle dig at Brendan in my opinion.

I didn't want him to sleep until he sorted out his next formational conundrum. I also didn't want him to sleep until he personally handled negotiations on Champions League standard players and sold the club and his project, vision and philosophy to said players. Only then can he have an afternoon off, but still be available for bantz with the squad via Whatsapp group chat and have a helicopter waiting so he can be whisked off to the next potential signing with Robbie Fowler on his shoulders.

That he's not doing this, right in the middle of signing season, is only going to provide the hysterical with their opportunity stick to beat him remorselessly when we miss out on the next Gylfi Sigurdsson.
