We had Rafa who was making press releases every two weeks about how he is not sure about extending his contract at Napoli as his wife and kids are in Liverpool and wanting to work close to them.
Now we have Klopp's agent essentially stating call us and he will come.
If Brendan flops next season and Klopp has better offers next season, it will be a huge huge mistake from FSG's side.

Well perhaps it would be if you had paved madame ulgas palm with gold coinage off Brighton pier. However without that incredible foresight into the future there's no knowing whether klopp would succeed here.

For Klopp to work well we would have to teach our idle scouts that life exists outside of England. He relies on certain types of player, fast technically good and grafters. To find them, the scouts need to buck up and actually do their jobs

Problem is, Rodgers needs the same sort of players. How well have we done at finding them?

Of course the future is uncertain and anything could happen. We could finish 12th next season under Brendan and have a title challenge the season after next under him - that is a possibility. What we can do is make reasonable projections from the past.
There is no guarantee whether Klopp, Ancellotti, Mourinho, Wenger, Rafa, Guardiola,Heynckes, or Ferguson could do better than Rodgers given the constraints we have in terms of finances and player recruitment. However, that does not mean we should be afraid to make a change.

By that logic you should have stayed in the smoke Bob.
Or did you relocate via Brighton Pier?
I hope we don't miss this opportunity, Rodgers has had enough time here to prove what he's capable of. When he doesn't have one of the greatest footballers on the planet available he has failed. Time for a new challenge for Rodgers and a chance for us to attract quality players and build a team.
Ex-Manchester United assistant Rene Meulensteen is open to becoming Liverpool's new No.2

However, the ex-United coach, who had an unsuccessful time in charge of Fulham, hasn't yet received an offer from the Reds
Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen is open to becoming Liverpool's assistant manager, but is yet to receive an approach from the club.
The Dutchman, who went on to manage Fulham briefly after leaving Old Trafford, is reportedly being considered for the role left open after Colin Pascoe was relieved of his duties last week.
While Meulensteen may be a controversial choice for his links with Manchester United and his previous criticism of Brendan Rodgers' lack of investment in backroom staff, he is highly respected in the coaching world.
The 51-year-old is currently working with MLS outfit Philadelphia Union but has a release clause that would enable him to escape if a Premier League club came calling.
And with his family still living in Cheshire, Meulensteen would find it very hard to turn down a job offer in the north-west.
Meanwhile Alex Inglethorpe, the club's academy director, is understood to have shown no interest in stepping up to first-team duties.
