the has got to mean we have got the man we wanted in,after all it would look stupid getting a new man in without any back room staff in place for him unless after talks the new man had said he was bringing his own team with him.

I assume there is an agreement in principle with the new man they just need to iron out the details and get the paperwork sorted. I would be surprised if there isn't an appointment made by the middle of the week.
