Don't reckon many "hate" him, just find him a bit annoying & silly. Let's not go overboard here, it's tedious & divisive.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

He seems a decent enough guy, was just a step too far for him here. Did he best to sound and look the part which was cringeworthy alright. I don't mind him at all, glad he doesn't manage us though. Think he'll do ok at Celtic.

Came closer to winning the league for us than anyone else in the last 26 years.

I think it's rewriting history a bit to say it was entirely due to Suarez that we had a good run but it was certainly why he got closer than anyone else.

And that's from someone who has no animosity and wishes him well. I'll always have fond memories of him for that season.

Agreed, far too simplistic to write it off as just Suarez having an amazing season.

However - we'd have walked it if Rodgers could set up a defence.

Impossible to say. If he'd have set-up defence we might have scored less and still finished in the same position but had much less fun in the process.

I enjoyed it far too much to spend too much time on what if's. Happy to let it stand as it was.

Proper nutty score 1 more football

Honestly dunno how anyone can dislike the guy who gave us that. Glad he went, but glad he was here too

Leigh Griffiths, Celtic's striker, has drawn remarkable comparisons from Rodgers.

He said: “Leigh plays on the limit, as a number of our boys do. That’s what you want as a coach and a manager.

“If he had a different name – a more Latino name – this guy would be talked about as being worth 15 million quid, for sure. Luis Suarez played on edge and he was alright.”

Leigh Griffiths is a ****ing walloper and Rodgers wants a smack for daring to mention him in the same breath as Suarez.

He's not comparing them though is he. He's using Suarez as an example of a player who gets away with playing on the edge.

Wasn't even in the same breath, it was a new sentence

                        Context, agendas etc.

I never said that Rodgers was comparing Griffiths and Suarez.

He is comparing them though. He's saying they have similar styles, but LG isn't appreciated as much because he doesn't have a Latino name. He's not saying he's as good as Suarez, but he's still making the comparison. Why else mention Suarez at all?

Hardly having an agenda point that out.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

And it also smacks of shoehorning Suarez in for the sake of it. Plenty of British players ‘play on the edge’, Bellamy being a more pertinent example, but it’s a nice reminder that Brendan has managed the best in the world. No harm in it, it’s his style and I’d probably do the same, but he’ll always leave himself open to ridicule when he does.

Good draw in the CL quailes. They are already loving him so far, he'll be a hero if he gets them back in there.
