Joey Barton mocks Brendan Rodgers over 'mid-life crisis'

Joey Barton wasted no time at ramping up Old Firm rivalry in Scotland as he poked fun at ex-Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers over his appearance.

Speaking on TalkSport, Scouse midfielder Barton, who now plays for Rangers, said he hadn't bumped into Celtic manager Rodgers in Glasgow yet.

“The places he goes and the places I go probably differ, y’know, with the tan and the teeth and all that," he said on the Alan Brazil show.

“They’re not the kind of establishments I rock up at, I’m not having a mid-life crisis.”
