And we say recognised goal threat El Mat. He has played in 11 PL games this season. 2 for us and 9 for WHU, he has one goal, his first in over 1000 hours, and 0 assists in that time.

He got 2 assists in his first game for WHU. But yeah, I essentially agree with you on Carroll.
      *Except Michael, who died.

Geez... Lets see this is a really tough question.

Could winning and getting three points have anything to do with it.

There is no guarantee that having him on the bench will get us that result. None what so ever. Would you not rather someone like Morgan took his place anyways?

            He creates havoc for others.

You put that ball into the box with ten mins to go and look to work off the knockdowns second balls situations that both suarez and gerrard could benefit from. Hes a threat to the.opposition whether its in the first second or even third phase of play.

              Fair enough

Nowhere seems to have awarded those assists to him. All the sites I find have him listed as 0 assists.

Theres no guarantees in life about anything. Just like you and matt cant guarantee that had he stayed he might have five.or six epl goals and we might have six points more.

Remember lads its about winning. its not about having 70% of the ball and losing one nil, or passing it around really well...in our own defensive third.

No we can't guarantee that, but since he has near 0 positional sense it is highly unlikely. Add to that he is hardly likely have played enough to score six.

Yes it is about winning and playing **** forwards for the sake of having a forward is not likely to work.

Ohh I know it's about winning mate. But where we differ is in thinking Carroll can help us do that.

Better to have a **** forward (i dont think hes **** at all) than no forwards at all.

Which is exactly what rodgers massive cock up has left us with. Whichever way you massage this matt, it a **** up of the highest order. You dont let a player leave without replacing him first.

Again young managers will make mistakes. But its a big one.

My input is that Carroll is ****ing gash and was no good for us. Even when he had an upturn in form, he was still horribly limited and was the worst lead striker I have ever seen play for Liverpool.

He was not a beast and he was not the second coming of Drogba. He will never be a world class striker and if we had spent the money on David Nugent we would have had a similair level of performance to Big Andy's displays.

It was an old manager that made the biggest mistakes in Liverpool's history - age doesn't matter a jot.

Letting carroll go wasnt a mistake if the manager doesnt see him in his plans but not replacing him with another forward player first was.

We are one forward short and thats rodgers fault. Thats why fsg need to buy two in january

Think of it like this. The money we are saving on Carrolls wages, will go to someone better and more able to help us out in the new year. If he was still here maybe that wouldn't happen.

Then shift him out when that player comes in first.
