Can you blame him? He got rid of a player he didn't want, in an attempt to get one he did want. Rightly or wrongly. He had to chance it. It's clear that Carroll is just not good enough, he is in a team that is playing to all of his strengths now, and he has managed one goal. He has regressed as a player since he was at Newcastle. It's sad.
    *Except Michael, who died.

You can contribute without scoring. Carroll is a good player. Not great, not brilliant, not worth 35m, still good though.

He is a poor player with a decent shot and some height.

Too be fair though, Matt. I'm not even sure if you rate Messi.

Yes, and will he be in 3 months?

Downing is not going to suddenly become a great player because the manager tells him he is.

Henderson cost 13m a year before, that doesn't reflect his current value to us. Again, a silly way of looking at it.
            Wow.

Sorry I apologise how silly of me

So basically carroll hasnt really done anything to help west ham this season. Course not how silly of me.

So downing hasnt really responded to the arm round the shoulder so lets publicly slag him.off the.damage further his resale value.

You cant talk objectively about henderson because you hate the guy. You see fsg disnt say no to dempsey but they said no to rodgers demand for 8m cash for dempsey. They didnt want to put anymore money into the team than what had already been agreed.

He's a good player, low on confidence who isn't mentally strong enough to handle such a massive transfer. I accept he has to move on, really hope the lad gets his move home and scores some goals.

It is ok, you don't have to apologise for illogical arguments.

No, irrelevant of what Carroll has done for WHU, it is meaningless to how him leaving has affected our season or what effect it would have had to our season.

It makes no difference to his resale value.

I don't hate Henderson, I just think he is not very good. There is a huge difference. We said no to a price for Dempsey we didn't think was acceptable. If we thought the trade was acceptable, Henderson price when we bought him is irrelevant.

                    2. That's a one in two scoring record.

Im not sure how you can say that having an extra striker on the bench wouldnt have helped us this season. Isnt that illogical ?

Arent we in the business of winning.

2 games and he's personally dragged west ham above us in the table by creating space for others from the treatment table.

No, because you are assuming he could fit with our team. A striker for the sake of having a striker is pointless, especially one who clearly isn't good enough.

He has played 9 not 2 game for WHU btw.

A striker who is a recognised goal threat but who offers something different to our plan A is pointless.

That hole youre digging for yourself is getting bigger

Why should the whole style of play compromise for him though?
