Carroll hiding behind central defenders at the prong of a three would have been an absolute disaster. You see how much Suarez moves, divide that by 100,000 and you would get somewhere near to Carroll's ability in comparison to what Suarez is providing up there himself.

True but that's a leap being used to beat him with which isn't right

I think its fairly obvious as to what happened otherwise the dempsey deal would have been signed seales and delivered.

Rodgers gambled and he lost but he still needs to be backed in january.

No one is going to start him but as an option from the bench.

Based on what, contracts need to be agreed in length & value and of course another team might come in for him which results in not having to up sticks with a young family

You believe Rodgers gambled on nothing more than guess work and stating it as fact

And he is likely to be equally useless off the bench.

So letting go of carroll while we hadnt agreed a deal with dempsey wasnt a gamble.

                Seems pretty risky to me.

Right but he might have scored five also.

Statistical analysis would back the notion of his gashness

Also a whole season of utter gashness would back his gashness

You may just be right since the current team creates **** all.

I think we create quite a lot of chances to be honest. Just don't put them away unfortunately. Doubt Andy Carroll would have made any difference to that.
