Was it Rodgers at Reading by any chance?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

rafa and dalglish have both been sacked before. rafa was even sacked after relegating a team.

I wanted to say this, but I didn't want to start another Rafa debate.

it's not about rafa really though is it? this is a broader point about managers in general.

Surely it's not being suggested that because BR was sacked at Reading, it means he is doomed to failure at LFC ?

You could also say the opposite. Since Rodgers was a huge roaring success at Swansea he will be a huge roaring success at Liverpool

Exactly. The fact he was brilliant at Swansea or sacked at Reading are not definitive reasons for him having success or failure at LFC.

Kenny was rapidly turning us into a mid-table side with a top 4 wage bill. Let's give Brendan time to implement his ideas, I'm looking forward to watching us play when things start to click.

Yes that's exactly right. I came across an article on the internet where it says Brenda was sacked by reading! Reading! What have we got ourselves into.
