      Yes.

But the mention of Rafa would inevitably turn this into a Rafa thread / debate. And we've had enough of those over the years.

No mate. Thought he had been at Swansea for years serving first as a player and then working his way up to head coach. Who'd have known.

Sure it was widely discussed on here when BR was first linked with us, must have missed it then.

I really don't believe it means he's more likely to fail with us because of that, as has already been said on here, lots of great managers were sacked from lesser clubs before making good with a big club.

Only thing that matters now, is what he does at LFC, he'll need luck too, regardless of how good he is.

sorry mate, I'm having you on. Of course I knew. I just happened upon an article about his dismissal at reading and thought I'd post it. Why? no reason. Relevance? apart from its about Rodgers, very little. I wasn't intending to suggest he will fail. Things can be posted without an agenda or reason. Well at least by me.

I've openly admitted I didn't want Kenny sacked and I think its a mistake. An impatient mistake. But alas time has moved on. I'm not Brenda's biggest fan and think he talks way too much without acheiving much of note. BUT I want him to succeed. I think people need to give him shed loads of time as what he is trying to do is a long term thing and thus immediate results should be put to one side with the long term aim of creating something worthwhile.

If all this makes me a cunt then so be it. I wish people would read posts before seeing who posted. Hard I know. But it would make this a better place at times.

              Anyway.

In fairness Bob Hodge was sacked by both F.C. Copenhagen and Blackburn Rovers and you still felt very optimistic about his chances as a manager of L4.

The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

So rumour has it Martinez has said he turned us down.

Im glad, I feel Rodgers can take is further forward then he could.

(even though I admit I wanted Martinez more at the time)

At least he enjoyed his day out in the streets of Miami with his latte in one hand, notepad in the other, listening like a little lovestruck child to the raspy words of John W Henry's vision for Liverpool.

                                It is not a rumour.

He said that he didn't accept the offer because his (Wigan) chairman mighty Dave Whelan was unique and that he can be very persuasive.

The other thing is if he was telling the truth.
