Rodgers is a man of self-belief. Its either deluded or real. We have yet to see that. At least give the man time to build his vision and then we can judge.

What basics? We're in the middle or maybe not even in the middle of a rebuilding job. It's going to be up and down for some time. I think generally we ARE improving. I can understand your and other people's frustrations, but surely, that kind of comments are way premature at this stage. I'll start having doubts if things are the same at the same time next year. Our problem is that we're overrating the current side. They aren't strong enough mentally either.
That's something we'll get with Sturridge at least, a strong minded player who is capable of thinking on his own. We're filled with overpaid, average junk on top of declining aging players. Now we're expecting our youngsters to step up, which isn't going to happen overnight.
I agree that we keep failing with the basics time and again. It needs to stop, but I also think that has to do with the poor quality we have. Rodgers has talked about wanting an overhaul IIRC, but he hasn't been able to do it.
The telling thing tonight was when the Stoke fans sang 'You're getting sacked in the morning', our fans responded with 'there's only one Brendan Rodgers' in support of him.Comment
