Can anyone actually point to a decent replacement we could get (Rafa is completely unrealistic and delusional, so he doesn't count this time)?

We blew our chance in the summer with Rafa and Van Gaal wanting the job.

I have faith in Rodgers, but not as much as I did. I don't have faith in the board above him and I don't have faith in the players we have. I have heard Rodgers 'talk' about a creative No.10, attacking players who are quick and have the potential to penetrate.

I am concerned that our pressing is very inconsistent, and we're not as compact when we defend. There's so much work to be done and we don't have the players to play how Rodgers wants to. We're more of a direct side that wants to play with tempo. We're lacking mentally and we're not intelligent enough, at least not yet.

In Kennys first half a season - before he went into the market in a big way - He played experienced players like Maxi & Kuyt on a regular basis. They played with Torres initially and then Suarez after January.

After that summer Carroll was injury free and Kenny played him too often a long with Downing on the left instead of Maxi and Henderson on the right instead of Kuyt. They were much worse and we suffered. When Bellamy played we looked better.

Now, Rodgers has no Kuyt & Maxi to turn too. Instead, he's had to turn too Suso, Shelvey and Sterling. When they've hit dips in form and run out of gas, he's had to go back to Downing & Henderson, Cole etc.

I am sorry. But clearly, our squad of players is simply not good enough. In fact, it's wank. Teams will always raise their game against Liverpool so we need much better players than what we have.

Suso, Shelvey, Sterling & Borini should be playing in the League Cup and the Europa, not regulars in side the size of Liverpool.

Gillet & Hicks ****ed up our best squad of players in years and then inept transfer dealings by Kenny & Commoli finished the job when they had a great chance to make us a top 4 side again.

It disgusts me. And I love Kenny, but I'm very sorry here. Name me one other club who has spent about £100m and made their team WORSE.

He had Roy's squad flying and then ****ed it up.

Who would you trade from this list?

        Reina
        Johnson
        Skrtel
        Agger
        Enrique
        Lucas
        Allen
        Gerrard
        Sterling
        Suarez
        Sturridge

The squad is not good enough to challenge for a cl spot, but it should be good enough to pass the ball to a team mate more than three times in a row and to defend the neat post at a corner. Brendan has definitely been dealt a **** hand with our squad but that doesn't mean he's doing his bit well. He's not yet.

I would keep these 4 as squad players and bring in a higher calibre of player to take their places in the first team.

At the minute id pull either Gerrard or Allen for a Tiote type.

And it would be nice to not have to rely so heavily on Sterling. If there is a chance of Gamiero we should be in there like flint.

Oh, and our transfer policy is flawed. In a few years Suso, Shelvey and Sterling will be good enough to be regulars. So short term, why not sign players like Sneijder & Villa? Older players, but world class.

Now they'd probably not sign, but older players of similar ilk omits the way to go. Not kids like Ince, Munain, Lucas Moura or anyone else you care mention. We have good young players. What we need is top class experienced pros.

Those are the exact type of players we are crying out for, and the argument made to sign them is compelling. It is staring us in the face but we choose British crap players like Sturridge (for the same reported fee as Villa is available, albeit wages will be less).

This has not been helped by things like Torres leaving, the stadium issue, Lucas getting that injury and Kenny wasting that Kings ransom on ****e. To me it feels like we just need a £30m player to come in and shake the place up.

No point having a world class first eleven if your replacements are ****.

As a team they are not performing the role correctly. As individuals, Lucas is still not up to speed, Allen is shattered and Sterling is hit & miss. Enrique also hit & miss. But if we brought in a strong ball winner to provide competition for Lucas and another top attacking player in addition to Sturridge, I'd be much more confident.

That said, once Lucas & Allen get back up to speed and if Ince & Sturridge settle well, most of our minor issues are solved.

The worst thing about the current run of form (or where we actually are now - this isn't blip) - is that I look at the fixture list and have no confidence that any of the games are sure things or guaranteed 3 points. I never know how we're going to play, there is absolutely no consistency. We go from a 4-0 win to being out fought and out thought by Stoke - ok their home form is decent, but a couple of years ago we would have found a way and not looked so insipid.

We're 6 months in, and I don't think the botched transfer window can be used as a free pass for Brendan to avoid criticism. If we think that not buying Clint Dempsey or another striker is the reason we're in trouble, then we as a fan base are being hugely deluded.

There have been some strange and plain bad team line-up decisions, and I don't see how Brendan can get off scot free for the last transfer window **** up - he was directly involved after all.

plus i'd look for a center back that's actually better than skrtel much as i love him.

We need an all action lunatic defensive midfielder and a **** hot forward who actually scores and creates and we'd be a different team. Someone to close the gaps at the back and someone to tuck em away up front. That would sort a whole bunch of our problems.

The owners want younger players who will provide long term value. They aren't seeing the bigger picture.
