The Dortmund Sahin would be our best player along with Suarez. I can only think the injury has knackered him. Very disappointing really. If he can get to 80% of the player seen at Dortmund then we'll have a player on our hands.

I really hope Sahin regains his form as he looked like he'd score regular goals from midfield, which we badly lack. He still has time, but he looks like he's fell behind Shelvey and Henderson in the pecking order now. Quite a fall from grace for the lad.

And controversial as this is, Allen is the epitomy of mediocrity for me. He has done his job admirably and is a tidy player most of the time, but I cannot see him being a long term regular when Lucas is fit.

The thing with Sahin is we could end up giving Real Madrid a fresher player for next season, who has all the qualities to be Alonso's long term replacement. We haven't used him in his best position at all, nor asked him to play a role which involves passing and stretching the play from deep, and I don't think we will, which means we'll probably bring in another kind of central midfielder in the summer.

It is frustrating, because his best position should be besides Lucas, at least until he develops a level of match sharpness which enables him to play in a midfield 3 and pushing further forward.

I am hopeful and concerned about the signing of Borini. He showed glimpses of a good player in there, but he disappeared a lot in the games he played in, topped with being used in the wide areas.

I'd agree with the 6/10. Results have been poor and he has to take some of the blame for the decisions in the summer. However, the way he's treated the youngsters is to be applauded and on the whole the way he tries to get the team to play is good.

The make-up of the squad is a shambles and the lack of goals is very worrying, and his signings have generally failed. Allen being the one shining light, but Borini, Assaidi and Sahin have all failed - so far.

January will be very interesting - we need to have one attacking player lined up for the first week. No excuses.

On the whole he's a step up over the previous two managers - but a step down on the one that came before.

I would go for 5/10 I think it has been difficult for him this season, and the loss of Carroll and no replacement hasnt helped. I agree with one of the other posters about the youngsters and that is a great step forward. Some of the play this season has been a little boring, lots of passing and nothing else. Maybe once we get someone to pop the goals in,this passing will mean something. January is a massive month for him and the club,lets just hope that FSG and Rodgers get it right.

In an attacking sense, yes it's shambolic. This weekend's game, with no backup striker, is a perfect example of that.

That said, we still have good enough players to be finishing way ahead of where we are now.

I think we've been unlucky (again), and I can see things improving, especially if we buy well, but still I cringe every time I look at the league table.

He's done ok so far and i think I can see us moving forwards but he will need investment in the squad in January. At the same point of Rafa's first season in charge he's 5 points less than Rafa had in the league but lost less games, I think with the right players coming in we could potentially see a similar league total as the CL winning season and if he manages that he'll have done well.

6/10 is also fair to me. and i agree with most of you all about that. i don't want to judge him until the next summer transfer and january 2014. yesterday i checked his winner percent with lfc, and according to wiki it's 40.74%. doesn't seem to be brilliant, but as I said, we will see ...
