I think it was harrys second game in charge or something but we were brilliant that day and should have scored four by half time.
Yep, that was far better than the other day. Alonso was magnificent that day. We were a well-oiled machine then. My Spurs mate calls it one of the best opposition displays he's seen at WHL, but they utterly mugged us.

Slightly disingenuous - Benitez to Chelsea has been a huge, new and topical story, not just where LFC fans were concerned but in football. Rodgers has been here 6 months and other threads are busy.

Here's another Rodgers post to boost the numbers and calm down the natives

I think he's doing very well. There are things that I am seeing which are better than Rafa's first season.
            Are we winning?

He's doing okay. The January window is massive really.

I was thinking about this this morning. I'd score him a 6/10 so far. I was going to make it a 7 but he has to take some responsibility for the transfer window **** up. The football we're playing I'm by and large impressed with. He seems to have the players happy and motivated. I couldn't score him any more than that though as the league table makes grim reading still.

Overall I'm still pretty optimistic about him and regardless it's time we backed a Liverpool manager again through thick and thin. This managerial merry-go-round is not Liverpool Football Club.

Agree with the rating on the whole, it could have been nearer a 7 if he'd managed to pull a result out of the first few difficult games. It might have been different but for the Lucas injury, but we have that ready made excuse for 2 managers over a full year's period now.

We really do need FSG to address the failings in our squad. If Lucas gets injured again with the squad the way it is, we're looking at bottom half of the table this season, which is unacceptable given we have proper class in Suarez, Agger, Skrtel and Johnson, aside from Lucas himself.

Bottom half would be completely unacceptable. Rodgers has won - I think - 11 out of 28 games in all comps. That includes some dross like Hearts (who we couldn't beat at home) and even weaker teams in the Europa. If those numbers are right I think that's an overall win percentage of 39%, which is of course dismal and Hodgsonesque. 6/10 for me. Would be a 4 or 5 but I've enjoyed watching us play, on the whole, and even though they haven't been roaring successes (yet), I liked the signings of Allen and Sahin.

Messianistic, or a determined man with an ambitious dream - very like Shankly circa bastion of invincibilty speech?

I think a 4/5 would be very harsh given we're clearly re-building the team (again), and in the process of bringing through lots of very promising youngsters into the team. I think Rodgers has shown more willingness to take a risk with the younger players than any other manager we've had in a long time. I applaud him for that.

Regarding Allen I think he has been a success. Let's not forget he's been played out of position really. It's a pivotal position in the team, and to be forced to play it when you're trying to get to grips with the biggest move of your career is a tough ask. I think he's been pretty good most games, and exceptional in a few.

Sahin on the other hand seems to have all but disappeared

4 or 5 in terms of results alone. The results have been ****e - there's no dressing it up, there's no dressing up 39% win ratio or 11th place or wherever the hell we are. I marked him up cos I like his football, I like the sort of players he seems to like, and I've liked his use of youngsters.

I also think Allen has been a success, and will continue to be. I'm a massive fan, have been for ages. He's not been a roaring, unequivocal success though, he has his doubters but he'll improve a bundle when Lucas is back into the swing of things.

Results have been ok. Too many draws but I wasn't expecting better at this stage to be honest. We're still around 7 points off 4th place so all is well if we can push on in the second half of the season. All will depend on who we bring in in January.
                              Are we winning?

They really haven't, they've been dire. We're 11th near the halfway stage. That's grim no matter how you dress it up. 7 points off 4th. So what? We're also 7 points off 18th!

We've also been dumped out of the Capital One too.
