the bit where rodgers said we werent 24 points behind on quality was a bit wierd.

So let me get this straight we have the quality in the team now but not the results. So who's fault is that.

Er, did anyone actually say that?
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

So can I just get this straight in my head?
All working class people live on council estates?
The title goes to the team with the most points?
And if we get the most points we get the title?
And the table doesn't lie about who sits on top of it?
And if we get one point more than last year we have clearly and indisputably improved?

            That's blown my mind.

Its pretty straight forward really. We have quality players coming in but guys have have barely played a run of games together whereas they have a settled team full of experience. Brendan has been here half a season and has loads of new players to bed into the team, clearly that will take time.

Borini has been injured and Sturridge only arrived last week. Sterling and Suso are still kids so you can't expect them to get us to the top of the league straight away can you?

He has quality players and he is builing a good team. You can't say the quality hasn't shown through in game like Man City, Wigan, Sunderland, West Ham, Fulham etc

The team has put in lots of good performances. We outplayed Man City and Man Utd at home this season but never got full points due to individual errors and **** refereeing. The quality is clearly their and is coming together slowly but surely. Everyone needs to stop bitching and get behind the manager. We are getting better week on week and we have just got 2 clever strikers added to the line up so I can see us going on a very good run till end of season. Come sunday night I believe the gap between us and 4th will only be 6 points

As an example Barcelona didn't win the league last season and they were the best team in the league IMO.

maybe the best footballing team but not the best team overall because Madrid finished top.

I know where you're coming from but in my eyes the team that finishes top is the best team in the league.

If people handed points out for playing good football arsenal would have won the league 50 times by now. As it stands they play good attractive football but have won jack ****.

Arsenal dont play attractive football anymore. That's a myth. Is nice. But it's nothing compared to 5 years ago.

Anyway, I think Barca were the better team overall. From the games I watched they played better. Madrid may have won the league because of a myriad of reasons. Sending offs, injuries, fixture congestion. There are mitigating factors in everything. So to say the winner is the best team is too simplistic IMO. I think it's fair to say that Chelsea were not the best team in Europe last season but they still won the Champions League. How does that work based on the winner being the best logic?

If you win you're the best.

You might not have the best squad, or players, or manager but if you beat everyone else you're the best.

Chelsea were the 5th best in England. So I don't buy into that at all. Sorry.
