Love the guy. Love how he wants us to play football and love the way he talks about us and addresses the major issues. Talks like a real fan. Great choice by FSG and hopefully will make it work given time

He's been excellent this summer re: his interaction with the media, and specifically the Suarez situation. He's handled it near-perfect (despite the final outcome still not resolved), and I dare say he's handled it better than some more 'established' mangers would have, staving off a fractious atmosphere amongst the group.

Come back to me in six weeks! Rodgers refuses to answer questions about Suarez until striker returns from suspension
Brendan Rodgers is refusing to answer any more questions about Luis Suarez but insists that Liverpool have not wavered in their determination to keep the Uruguay striker.
Rodgers attempted to draw a line under the Suarez issue, claiming that the constant speculation over his future is disrespectful to his teammates as they prepare to kick off the new season at home to Stoke on Saturday.
But he warned that the club’s stance in turning down a £40million offer from Arsenal and refusing to consider selling Suarez has not changed at all.
‘So much has been written said about Luis over the last few months,’ said Rodgers. ‘From our perspective there has been a standpoint within the club about where it’s at and that hasn’t changed.
"What I want to concentrate on is the players who are available for this weekend.
‘I won’t be speaking anymore about Luis Suarez until he’s available because the players who have been working ever so hard, the focus and concentration over the course of these last few months for this game, out of respect for them I don’t want to answer any more on Luis Suarez.
‘There’s nothing to be said that hasn’t already been said. I’m sure people are fed up listening and reading about it.
‘My only concentration is the players who are available. They’ve worked tirelessly and purely out of respect for them and the work that has gone on, I only want to talk about them.’

Can't see a CB coming in either. Changed priorities it looks like. Whether we get the other two is up in the air alsoOriginally posted by spider-neil View PostSaid in the press conference he is looking to bring in two players before the transfer deadline. I think that rules out a CB.
