I don't know where you get that we played superb under Dalglish. The season got worse the longer it went on and we were in free-fall in the second half of the season. We were losing for fun and finished in our first top-flight finish since we were relegated in 1954.

Last season was the reverse. After Rodgers had shipped out some of Dalglish's deadwood our season got better the longer it went on and we played some great stuff. We finished on an upward curve and, having added to the squad astutely, I see no reason why we won't make real progress this season. After all the teams above us last season were pretty average and it won't take a massive leap to move up the table

I think he meant the second half of the 2010-11 season after FSG replaced H&G and Hodgson got sacked, when Maxi and Merieles had those runs of scoring etc. Personally I didn't think we were quite "superb" then unless in direct contrast with what had come before, but we were in pretty good form.

Agree with your view of the last 2 seasons though, and I also think we can make a good improvement on last seasons' points total.
