£30m for Willian was a bit too much to be fair. It's inflated valuations such like this which distorts the game and encourages elitism.

He sounds very frustrated. I found his comment that it's the owners money and they will have the final say telling. I hope the owners have learned from the mistake they made last summer. We have now sold Downing so they better get their fingers out and pull out the stops to back Rodgers financially.

Willian is not worth anywhere near £30m so im not bothered that we didn't go for him at that price. It better to be careful and sign players that are good value. I feel we still need a CB and an attacking mid but at the same time I don't want us to waste millions on a player out of panic just because our original targets turned us down for champions league teams.
I do feel we are very close to the top four even with the squad we already have and the lack of european football should push us further in the league.
A proper striker to replace Borini would be usedful too

That is where I have the problem. BR thinks the player would have been "perfect" for us in our quest for fourth - we should have gone the extra mile for him. Disappointed that BR is disappointed.Originally posted by dom9 View PostI'm with FSG on this. I'm disappointed that Tee is disappointed that Rodgers is disappointed.
And that disappoints me.
And I'm also disappointed to have to make a point that if FSG are disappointed about Rodgers being disappointed then maybe they're starting to reach the point that there was no point in appointing him..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Fine. So you rate him. I didn't see that in the thread to date tbh. I must have missed that. Perhaps I was blinded by the tips of your shiny white shinpads poking out the top of your red socks. That's a joke by the way.Originally posted by Chris View PostSlightly above average ha!
