So our manager, you know the one who picks the team, chooses the tactics etc... Has been fortunate that we've scored goals??
    What complete bollocks.

How can Mignolet be piss poor when he's statistically one of the best keepers in the PL over the last 3 years?
And Sakho is historically error prone?? Says who? What mistakes has he made since signing for us?
Skrtel and Agger have been costing us goals for years.
Firstly, I haven't said Mignolet is piss poor. I've said parts of his game are piss poor, handling crosses and distribution mostly. He's a good shot stopper, but thats it. After a good 3 months I think even the most blinkered fan would admit he's been pretty poor since.

Sakho wasn't shot from space into Anfield you know. At PSG after a good season in 2011 his form suffered and he fell out of favour with Ancellotti, hence he's now here. Add to this that we seem to be completely incapable of keeping a clean sheet these days unless we're playing utter dross and you have to look at the back 4 and of course BR.

I'm not writing these players off as there is definetly potential with the pair, but its too early to say that they're a success, thats all. At least they're actually getting play time unlike the majority of the players on his £100m list.

Finally, I'm saying we've been fortunate to be banging the goals in on the basis that Suarez has hit a superb run of goal scoring form. Its all well and good saying its all down to Brendans tactics, but I'd say its more down to Suarez's brilliance. The goals are hardly being distributed throughout the team enough to indicate otherwise.

Can I just add that I actually prefer watching LFC now than any other time over recent years, but it doesn't mean I think we're going in the right direction to be successful.

My dumps come out in pairs too, usually.

I struggle to see what else you expect in terms of direction unless of course we were brought by a Middle Eastern Sheik or a dodgy oil magnet.

I fully understand that, and until we get serious investment we won't come close to winning the league, sadly it goes hand in hand.

We need to sort the defence out as a priority, that doesn't need to cost a lot. Next we need to add some goal scoring midfielders, which will be difficult and costly, and to be honest I don't trust BRwith the money anyway. That list of transfers so far is not great reading.

Allen will turn out to be a class signing I think.

                Feel sorry for him.

He looked a little sombre yesterday and normally hes pretty bubbly. We need to be careful because spurs will be sniffing around again this summer and as he will be in the last year of his contract so the buyout will be nothing.

And lets face it, he will have a much better squad (maybe not 1st team) at spurs. If were building for the future and hes the manager fsg want then theyve got to help him.

I am a big fan of Rodgers and cannot see him leaving but maybe we have Sami Hyypia on standby if he decided to!

I dont feel sorry for him per se. I think he has done well for sure. But there are some question marks for me also.

No doubt he has improved us. But there seems to be a reluctane sometimes to play players signed by committee, thinking Sakho, Alberto, Aspas. Sakho was left out of games after a great performance for France for no obvious reason

I think there is still a tactical question mark too

Would you take Rafa back given the choice?

                            No chance. Like Reece said

I like Brendan. Love listening to the guy talk and its obvious he knows how to take players up a level in performance. Just think he is a bit too focussed on attack whereas if he reigned it in a bit and paid more attention to creating a solid midfield structure, we'd probably score as many goals through controlling the middle of the park and concede less

I will leave the Rafa debate.

I think that's his idea (to control the middle of the park). We simply don't have the technical ability to do that at the moment.
                              Are we winning?

Yet you probably criticised Rafa for being too negative... he built a team though that didn't half control the midfield. Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano

Edit: I agree though (on the wanting to control the midfield bit). I actually think when we have everyone fit we'll be alright defensively, and that just leaves sorting out the midfield.
