They played very compact at the back whenever they lost the ball. We improved when Alberto came on as he retained control and spotted small openings to exploit.
Moses failed because his main attribute is power rather than subtlety although the pass to Suarez for the assist was very good

thats more down to our defence i reckon. they seemed to play through our midfield too easily, and there seemed to be no pressing when we had lost possession of the round thing.Originally posted by RedReet View PostYet they didn't create many chances bar a few long range shots.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He's still the man, but it was a bad day at the office against Newcastle. We'd a half to play for against 10 men; the onus was on us to win it.
With our rivals gaining wins, the two points dropped felt like a loss in some ways. Still, we're in the mix of things.I wear my heart on my profile name.

Absolutely.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostYup, some perspective is needed here. 5 wins, 2 draws and a loss is a very good start to the season.
If we continue in a similar pattern for the rest of the season I'll be very happy!
Averaging 2.125 points a game will pretty much guarantee us Champions League football. If we're on 40 points (or in the ball park) come the turn of 2014, I'll be more than happy.
December is the cliche-riddled make or break month.

....and we still havent beaten any of the teams above us this yearOriginally posted by Muddled View PostArsenal, Everton, Spurs, Man City, Chelsea are all away from home before 2014. We've also got West Brom (H), Fulham (H), Hull (A), Norwich (H), West Ham (H) and Cardiff (H).
That is some run of fixtures.
