That is some run of fixtures.
must win all the games in bold!!! but thats a big ask, i'd say we need minimum four wins/one draw/one loss - 13 points from 18.

then the other five - if we can come away with a win a few draws and a loss - say 6 points from the 15,

i'd be quietly happy - it would mean that apart from one loss against one of those tough five games, the other top teams won't get away from us

it would also mean that we'd come out of an incredibly tough run of games, half way through the season on
    Played 19 - 36 points from 57

we'd be decent - say if arsenal won every single game, we/d be 16 points behind them, but in this league non of the teams in or around the top 4/5 will win 11 games on the trot between now and the new year. Especially as they also have european games in between

So for me i'd say 36 points is a fairly achievable and realistic target and would put us in a decent position for a proper challenge for fourth.

Anything better and we'll challenging for the title.

the big worry is, it goes tits up, we struggle, and come January 1st we in 9th and the seasons over
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Do people genuinely believe we have a tilt at the title?

I don't think any of the teams are outstanding. All have weaknesses. I think January could be a crucial month. If we're in touch, I fancy FSG may sanction a big signing and it could really kick us on. Anything is possible.

Not the slightest chance. Other teams around us have the squad depth to pick up.

I do think its well possible we could scrape a CL place. Far from a likely hood but still a realistic possibility.

But no. I don't think we will win the title. Just setting up for a fall anyone who thinks that

I genuinley believe we have a chance.

The lack of european footy should give us a slight advantage. People talk about our lack of depth, but we've already had a testing time with injuries / suspensions - and we've coped pretty well.

I would say our squad isn't strong enough for a title challenge. I know you're saying that we've coped pretty well, but we haven't really been tested yet. Come January, we'll know where we are heading.

I thought fifth, maybe sixth prior to the season kicking off; fourth would be a great achievement. Hanging on to the group challenging for the title would be even better.

Booked flights at the weekend for the Newcastle match on the strength of it. Want to be there when the title is paraded about Anfield.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I always think the title is on, unfortunately its usually off by early October. For it to be 'on' for so long is giving me goosepimples and wind together.

Avoidance of injury to four main players (Coutinho, Suarez, Sturridge and Glen Johnson) and I reckon we could snatch it from Arsenal and Chelsea.
                      One tit for another.

Think City will be in the mix. They are starting to move up a gear or two.

i know newcastle mad a fight of it but once they were down to 10 men we should have battered them. the fact that we were still scratching our heads shows our lack of a ruthless streak and sometimes struggle to nail it, unless its norwich.
we all hope to win the title, but its hard to see us doing any better than just squeaking into the top four
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

We definitely should have won that game, but look, **** happens, we now need to make sure that we don't make a habit of it.

                              this is it.

we cant get the ball back quick enough once weve lost it. if we need another man in the middle why not just play allen and then move gerrard a little further forward into the coutinho role.

our build up was too slow for me and against 10 men you need to move the ball quicker from side to side in order for gaps to appear centrally. we didnt really do that.

cissoko has just returned but he didnt look all that fit. he also looked reluctant to get to the byline which really is what him and johnson as wingbacks are there to do. but when he did get beyond their back line he put in some dangerous balls.

Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Spurs are all of similar quality. They should occupy the CL places so if we can catch one then we can catch them all
