We were poor against a 10 man Newcastle but I've seen manure play worse, with less shots on goal and come away with 3 points. Luck had its part to play, which we can swing our way against WBA.
we werent very good yesterday against an average newcastle team.

Up until the sending off we were second best and i think we could have done with another body in midfield. gerrard and henderson were fighting against cabaye, tiote and sissoko.

even after the sending off, the passing was slow and pedestrian. Suarez looked knackered

We did look noticeably ponderous but we really came alive in the last 15 minutes and we have several opportunities to take all 3 points.

Hopefully we are fully rested for the WBA game and we can get to 20 points in 9 games!

I keep hearing people go on about how **** we were, but what did Newcastle actually create? A few long range shots is the only thing I can remember Mignolet having to save and one of them went in.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

its more to do with being bossed in midfield. if you lose that battle then you make it tougher for yourself.

Yet we still had all the better chances and should have won.

Rodgers talks a lot of sense though to be fair. He's not an innovator as such but he clearly knows how the game should be played and how best to maximize talent and you have to applaud him for that.

Like he says it's a change in philosophy and to be more forward thinking instead of just saying the players are ****, he's dead on.

Even before then. And they went down to 10 men because we created a very good chance and may well have went on to win the game if Suarez slotted it home and they kept 11 men.

In terms of his coaching and the way he wants the team to play, constant quick passing and high pressing. This is used by other coaches all over Europe and the world it's not like he's the first to use it.

before yanga-mbiwa was sent off they were the best team. even after he was sent off we didnt exactly bombard them.

But surely no matter what style of play you go for it's going to be compared to some other past team or manager? Who in the PL would you call innovative then by these standards?

For a British manager his style is quite European, so that that's quite unique in itself and I'd say his tailor made individual training sessions to reduce injury seems quite innovative.

****ing hell do I have to explain myself for everything FFS!

**** like formations for example instead of just playing the normal 4-4-2 he tries different things like the 3-5-2 we've been playing of late. His confidence and the way he talks, having belief in the players and instilling some self confidence in them to make them better that kind of thing.

Yet they didn't create many chances bar a few long range shots.
