Squad depth at the moment would be an issue for the CL but we've got a Summer transfer window coming up and if we've made 4th we'll be both an attractive prospect to join and there will be more funds available due to being in the competition.

We play like we did in the first half against Arsenal and we'll tear a few teams apart in Europe.

Not sure if it's me but they seem by and large to be comprised of the same players.

It's about depth we don't have that - our bench yesterday was, compare that to the likes of Chelsea & City and you can see we've got some work to do still with the squad and we've also played far less games this season as well due to a lack of European football at present we'd struggle to deal with the rigours of a European football.

I agree but we've played far less in terms of games than those sides, this season the squad we have we can cope with but with Europe next season I think we will need to look to really strengthen in depth.

FWIW I think we can get 3rd, top 2 I'd love to see but it's all about finishing in the top 4

Not sure if it's me but they seem by and large to be comprised of the same players.

You could look at the Wikipedia pages of the season for each club but I would imagine that they will be using the same players mostly but they have more players of similar quality that they could bring in when they need to rest people, where as if we wanted to rest someone we'd bring in someone of much lower quality.

It would be a brilliant boost for everyone if he signed a fresh 4 or 5 year deal, he's the man to take us forward, there's no doubt about that.

I always worry when people get a new contract mid season they might lose a bit of focus.
