I find the constant slagging and abuse he gets from some very distasteful.

I sometimes listen to talk ****e on the way into work, mainly because it's better than Juice FM or Heart. Need to invest in a DAB radio for my car so I can listen to Absolute Radio..

In all honesty, he came across quite well this morning (yesterday morning now). There were numerous times where Neil Warnock was poking and prodding to try and get Rodgers to say "Klopp's a cunt and stole my job" but he never gave that reaction.

The whole Dele Alli saga was brought up by Brazil and Warnock, and he answered the question. Basically said he'd met him, he wanted to sign him but nothing is ever guaranteed until the player is through the door. We waited too long and Tottenham took their chance.

Then they asked him about Sturridge trying to get Rodgers to say "It's all in his head and Liverpool should sell" to which he gave a good account of what was happening during his time with us. Sturridge would break down in training, and without training you can't play games. He explained it was mainly due to his explosiveness that's causing the problems - Muscular problems exacerbated by this raw pace/power he possesses.

Fair play to him, once you've waded past his bull**** sales pitch I genuinely think he's a decent fella. Seems quite humble and proud to have been our manager. No matter how out of his depth he was at times.

Why would he go on there to talk about the match when he didn't watch it??

Looks like the Bodgers Saving Face Tour is in full swing.

He's dining out on this Dele Alli stuff too...as if a 19yr old kid would have made a difference to how **** he was as a manager.

Brendan Rodgers was a special guest on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on Wednesday.

The former Liverpool boss joined Alan and co-host Neil Warnock after the Reds booked their spot in the League Cup final and explained why he didn't watch them reach Wembley.

He also gave his thoughts on Christian Benteke, hailed Jurgen Klopp as a 'good guy', discussed Daniel Sturridge's injury woes and reflected on the Merseyside's club failure to sign Dele Alli.

I dont think hes ever blamed himself at all. It was either the players not understanding the formation tactics or his staff.

yep. He didn't have a clue. When everything suddenly clicked it was as if he said just keep doing that every game.

if it was Rodgers he would have sorted out the problems we had at the back that year - we leaked a load of goals don't forget

he would also have sat back and counter attacked Chelsea at home and been happy with a point

was it the outstanding genius of rodgers.

was it the drive of suarez and the inspiration rubbing off on sturridge, sterling, coutinho, etc.

our goal scoring was amazing... cant fault that part of our game.

our goals conceded were a ****ing joke, mid table at best.

take away the suarez factor and add the sturridge injury issue then we are left toothless up front and still defending like champs chumps.

the goals we were scoring was like a perfect storm once in a hundred year event. that is unlikely to be repeated anytime soon.
we will never win the league if we dont learn to defend, end of.
